Learning to count is a top priority for primary students, forming the foundation for future math skills. Historically, the 100th Day of School helped students understand place value and adding a third digit to numbers, turning counting into a hands-on math lesson. From the first day of school, students tally, sort, and group everyday objects, building excitement for this milestone.

Trinity Basin Preparatory Superintendent and CEO Randy Shaffer leads with a focus on removing barriers and supporting campuses with the resources they need to serve students well. Often describing his role as solving problems and putting the right support in place, Shaffer's leadership is rooted in service.

Since becoming superintendent in 2007, Shaffer has worked to ensure every campus feels like an educational home—one where students, families, and staff feel welcome, supported, and valued. His message is simple: there is always a place for you at Trinity Basin Preparatory.
