Pafford Campus Educators Strengthen Connections Through Capturing Kids’ Hearts Training

Educators at Trinity Basin Preparatory’s Pafford Campus recently participated in two days of Capturing Kids’ Hearts training led by presenter Mark Dube.

The professional development experience focused on strengthening teamwork, improving interpersonal interactions and equipping educators with practical strategies for building positive relationships with students and colleagues.

“Over the last two days, the educators and I have spent time building a team within the faculty in the group and learning skills and tools to foster and maintain positive, appropriate relationships with our students at school,” Dube said.

Throughout the training, Pafford Campus staff members collaborated, shared ideas and practiced tools they can incorporate into their classrooms and everyday interactions. An important part of the training centered on treating everyone with kindness, respect and understanding.

Educators discussed how thoughtful communication and positive interpersonal connections can help create an environment where both students and staff feel welcomed, valued and supported.

“The staff at Trinity Basin Pafford Campus has done an amazing job engaging in the process, being excellent role models of the process, and I have the utmost confidence that they will implement the skills and tools in their space throughout the school year and beyond,” Dube said.

The training provided Pafford educators with an opportunity to grow together as a team while preparing to make a meaningful impact during the new school year.

By prioritizing kindness, strong relationships and positive interactions, staff members are ready to create a campus culture where everyone feels connected and empowered to succeed.
